Construction Management Services

Construction of a new regional wastewater reclamation facility was completed to include a new 16,000 square foot laboratory, workstations, offices, receiving area, and storage rooms. Construction inspection services were provided for this project. This $17.8 million state-of-the-art facility was awarded a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold Certification for meeting over 60 categories established by the U.S. Green Building Council.  The Water Quality Laboratory also received an Engineering News Records California Regional Best Projects award for best specialty construction. Knowledge and experience was provided for general and specialized inspection services to the construction of this lab and office facility.

Responding to an emergency job is a team effort.  When an Agency water pipe was inadvertently broken by a contractor working on the freeway around it, Rod Hernandez worked 12-hour shifts for 3 nights until the job was no longer an emergency. This job required 24 hour a day crews for 3 full days of work until the water leak was repaired and the two valves on either side were replaced. 

Several digesters needed minor structural concrete repairs, resurfacing and reapplication of a new coating system for the interior and exterior of the Digester, replacement of piping and other appurtenances, select valves and meters, and testing of all improvements. Construction inspection services were provided with daily reports, construction progress photos, specialized product testing and certifications, and general and specialized inspections.
